Maintenance Planner

Responsible for the implementation of the strategic maintenance planning and scheduling systems and practices at our Ingleburn manufacturing site

This is where you come in…
The Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Reliability and Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and the Reliability Engineers to schedule and coordinate the maintenance of all plant equipment on site, as well as develop and implement planning strategies to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
A key member of the maintenance team, the successful candidate will have high attention to detail, excellent communication and stakeholder management and will thrive in a fast paced environment. The ability to think on you feet, and problem solve will be critical, as well as strategic planning and working collaborative across the wider teams.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Prioritise, schedule and plan maintenance activities and requirements ensuring they are budgeted and delivered to schedule, including resource management
  • Prioritise plant breakdown actions
  • Improve reliability, maintenance and processing methods to reduce cost and avoid loss of production because of equipment malfunction or failure of time
  • Drive the preventative maintenance program to maximise reliability, cost effective equipment uptime and capacity utilisation without compromise to safety or reliability
  • Maintain manufacturing equipment compliance
  • Manage external contractors
  • Oversee safe systems of work including confined spaces, working at heights, job safety analysis, isolation procedures and hot work permits
  • Maintain accurate site reliability data, KPI's and document control such as equipment technical specifications, inventory, job plans, and safety documentation
  

The ideal candidate:
  • Proven extensive experience in Preventative Maintenance (PM), planning and
  • scheduling including the implementation and management of a CMMS
  • Extensive experience in a fast-paced manufacturing industry
  • Experience using MEX or similar CMMS
  • Extensive experience with shutdown planning/scheduling and coordination
  • Ability to problem solve (including the ability to conduct a root cause analysis and make recommendations)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills complemented by strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Trade Certificate or Engineering degree desirable
